$370 total, $130 NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT, and $70 kit to be purchased day of.

In this class, Lisa shares how to make a myriad of
beautiful floral creations with a combination of bright
bold colours, simple stitches, layered shapes and treasures
from granny’s button box! You’ll start working on the
floral blocks and then discuss background fabrics and
ideas. As with all of Lisa’s projects, you’ll be free to use
your own ideas and preferences with guidance and
advice from her.

“Who’s Gertrude?” I hear you ask...
What a pleasure it is to introduce you to Gertrude Jeckyll...

A respected painter and craftswoman in the late Victorian
era who then became famous for the beautiful cottage
gardens she planted in England.
Gertrude’s distinct style used informal design, traditional
materials, dense plantings and a mixture of ornamental
and edible plants. She used “naivety and charm” rather than “grandeur and formal structure” - an ethos that as SlowStitchers we share wholeheartedly.

Your Kit Will Include:
Pattern booklet and a set of templates, calico backing
fabric, 2 balls of Wonderfil thread, a packet of green
background fabrics and a set of bright solid coloured
fabric strips.

What to bring:
Your basic sewing kit with scissors, needles, etc.
Any bright coloured perle 8 threads. The “Stars” box by
Wonderfil is a lovely selection and is available on the
Forage Website.

Ask your host if Lisa will have a curated pop-up shop of
vintage and antique goodies to go with this project on the
